When a loved one passes away a chain of events is set in motion. If the death happens at home the immediate first step is to ensure that the person has died by calling a medical practitioner to verify the death and then calling the police to inform them of the death. You should then call Merriman Funeral Home to collect the body from the premises.
Collection of Body
If in a hospital then these steps will largely be covered by the hospital. However, it is important to let the hospital know that you require Merriman Funeral Home to collect the body for storage and other burial services.
The person’s body then has to be moved to a facility for storage until the time of burial. You can call us at Merriman Funeral Home to make the arrangements. (hyperlink)
